“Waterfalls first drew my attention at the end of 2019, although their verticality felt familiar, their constant motion was new and captivating. Unidirectional, their stream sculpts the land they run through, slowly smoothing the resistances that gives them shape. A waterfall is never the same and I decided the best way to capture them was to use hand movements as a way to create flow, aiming to find beauty in surprise.
The result is this meditative series of collage on paper, in which water inevitably finds its way creating ever changing wonders.”
The Waterfalls book was born to documents the project. It includs a short story by John Muir and the reproduction of the 21 paper collages from the Series.
