Rain Rug
Studio Knot
Rain day and Rain night are two rugs designed for Studio Knot. They are hand made from a soft recycled plastic yarn pile made from discarded bottles. The result is as soft and luxurious as wool and each rug helped clean the planet of more than 3000 plastic bottles.
“I have always been attracted by abstract compositions but I never managed to be completely satisfied with non-figurative creation. I am very inspired by nature and for this series of rugs I found in the rain an element that I could simplify to the pure geometry of single lines. Flirting with abstraction while depicting the motion of a rainy day / night.”
