VOYAGE is an invitation to a poetic journey tinted with mystery and romance.
Inspired by places I might have visited or dreamed.
VOYAGE was Thomas’s first solo show, it opened in Paris at the gallery Sergeant Paper in September 2015 and exhibited 12 paintings along with a window display installation.
Linked by a loose narrative the images follow a dreamy journey to exotic places with an essence of romance and mystery. Thomas used a custom technique derivated from 19th century stencil art reproduction to paint them. This process allows the image to be reproduced three times only, before the stencil are destroyed. Everything is hand made so all the paintings are slightly different and unique.
